My country

Dears, the whole blogging is a large scale thing, I see how different we are, how many different thoughts we share, and ideas, but at the same time we have something in common, which is so nice and thrilling. So I have one ordinary but either interesting question. Where are y`all from?

Let`s start with myslef, I am representing Latvia and the capital city Riga [even though I am leaving to Paris after 15 days, Riga will always be in my heart, because here is my family, my friends and all the best momeries of my life]. If you are more interested in my country you shall watch the video below. It is truly beautiful place, indeed.
But I am so eager to see the comments from YOU and to hear something interesting that you can tell about your place and country :)

inspired by: Karine Ferri

So, dear boys and girls, this is my turn to speak about the world of fashion. Particulary, models that I prefer. There are not many of them that I love though, but Karine Ferri, is my all time favorite. I am totally inspired by her as a model, porsonality and just a woman. She is the most beautiful brunette i have ever seen, seriously, my love to her is enormous. I`ll give you some reasons why i adore her:

~first of, she is french
~but her origin is italian which i adore even more
~her photoshoots are amazing
~she is not ashamed to make nude photoshoots
~she is attractive internally
~She has created the organisation "Assosiation Gregory Lemarchal" to fight against the terrible illness Muscovidose and help the others, all this in sake of her love Gregory Lemarchal, who passed away in april 30, 2007 [1st picture]
~She always wears the necklace of her love Gregory
~She can hide her pain with smile even though inside it hurts so much
~She was strong enough to go through the death of her love and started a new life
~her smile and positive attitude lightens up my day
~she is so feminine
~she is so perfect.

Haiku poems

Have you guys heard about the haiku? I have been interested in this poetry for a long time and so I decided to make a little description of it here, on my blog.

Haiku is one of the most important form of traditional Japanese poetry. Haiku is, today, a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.

IMPORTANT -

Each Haiku must contain a kigo, a season word, which indicate in which season the Haiku is set. For example, cherry blossoms indicate spring, snow indicate winter, and mosquitoes indicate summer.

I am done with theory as I`m sure y`all know what the haiku poems actually is.
It was hard to choose my favorite, so i took a few of them which I really like. Enjoy. :)
Do you have your favorite haiku poems? You are free to share them with me. Or maybe, you have written something on your own?

Night; and once again,
the while I wait for you, cold wind
turns into rain.
(Shiki, Masaoka)

After killing
a spider, how lonely I feel
in the cold of night!
(Shiki, Masaoka)

A man, just one -
also a fly, just one -
in the huge drawing room.
(Issa)

Won't you come and see
loneliness? Just one leaf
from the kiri tree.
(Basho, Matsuo)

A feather gives to a hat
A touch of lightness:
The chimney smokes.
(Paul Eluard)

summer 09

Dear bloggers, as all of you, I will be missing this gargeous summer of 2009. I have got some photos that made me quite nostalgic. The sea - this is one of the most beautiful things that I have got in my country, just an hour ride by car and I am there. It always reminds me summers of Latvia (and the pictures below included). But let`s cheer up! It is not that bad actually!
To say the truth, fall is my favorite season and I am waiting for it with a smile on my face and sincere delight. And what is your favorite season? Do you love the fall as much as I do?

Joyeux anniverssaire, Emma

Quand tu as l'impression de vivre

a white cat hero

This is kinda funny story actually, but it slowly turns into a sad one. So let`s start

Everything started with an exciting view from my window. A cute catgarden with two participants from my own family Sam and Jana (the white cat in the middle is not mine) They seemed to have fun together

But it turned out that the whole situation was quitte different. The white cat didn`t seem to want only a childhood friendship with my cat - girl Jana :D

Noticing danger to the sister the twin cat Sam was on his way with help :D

Then I saw a little cat fight! But not a big one, they had it out :D

At the end the white cat had to leave his new love, because Sam was insisting.

The whole day this white cutie was looking for the cat-girl, but she didn`t come

BUT PLEASE READ FARTHER

When I woke up the next morning I saw something terrible. The white cat was dead, it was lying on the grass, without any breathing. And later I found out that it`s owner noticed dislocated feets, he also told that the cat was only 3 years old, so it made me wonder how cruel a person can actually be to do such a terrible thing! There is no other explanation how this cat could have died, it was not a natural death that`s for sure :( now I am worried about my own cats, their little paradise is distroyed with cruelity, I can not forbid them to go out, if I do, they won`t have a normal and happy cat - life... :( I am really sad about the white hero. I hope he will live many other happy cat - lives, as we all know they have 13 :)

I guess these were the last pictures of the white cat, I will give them to the cat - owner, his heart is really broken right now :(

Story about how I got my first umbrella

I am not keen on umbrellas. In other words I just never put them in my bag whether it is sunny outside or it is 90 % sure that it's going to rain. Because of that I have had so many failures in my life. For example, a completely miserable look in my graduation class photo, where a half of my blouse was dark brown and the other half light brown (as I didn`t have time to dry it), AND MY HAIR - thank God one of my classmates had a hair straightener (what a miracle), so that girl really helped me by pulling me out of a really "shitty" situation. Like it is on in this picture with George Bush :D

But it is not the right story i wanted to tell you. The thing is that yesterday my mum got me my first personal umbrella! She came to me with a smiling face, giving my a hug and saying - happy name`s day, Natalie! :D Everything would be alright if I really had a name`s day! :D As I later found out she thought I had it on 18th of august but actually it is on 26th :D I find it gargeous :D

And today I found some really cute umbrellas in the internet and I want to share the pictures with you. I love the creativity. I am definately buying one of these kinds in the immediate future!

rainbow colours

Romantic, huh? :)

*Translation - sh*t, it rains!

Always sunny and bright under it!

You can stand under my umbrella ella ella, eh eh eh! :D Peace out!

Empire of the sun "we are the people"

We can remember swimming in December,
Heading for the city lights in 1975
We share in each other
Nearer than farther
The scent of lemon, drips from your eyes

We are the people who rule the world

I can’t do well when I think you’re gonna leave me, but I know I try
Are you gonna leave me now
Should you be believing now

I can’t do well when I think you’re gonna leave me, but I know I try

What a song! What lyrics! Australia lives in my heart!

Emma and Nath

Emma is only 12 months old and she already knows what posing means :D
Natalie is already 19 years old and she still doesn`t get how to look good in the pictures :D
Sisters together forever <3

The Lion King

Hey guys, no doubt you`ll remember the exelent animated movie the Lion King. Two days ago I watched it again (after many many years) and I must say that I am speechless about it. Every scene is so touching. During the film you cry and laugh, then you are frustrated, later pensive. To my mind it is a brilliant movie because either children and adults can watch it and both will definately love the plot and everything about it.

What I have noticed is that I had a completely different perception of this movie when I was a kid. For the children it is a fun movie to watch, to see the friendship, animals and nature, but for the adults, it is something more, it is more like a food for thought about your life and people that surroud you.

I bet you all love this movie. But if you haven`t seen it for a long time, I really suggest you to watch it once again.

Who knew that such movie, which was made for kids, could broaden my mind so effectively.

Here are some quotes from the movie I am in love to.

And what do you think about it? :)

Jokes

  • Timon: Let me get this straight. You know her. She knows you. But she wants to eat him. And everybody's okay with this? DID I MISS SOMETHING?
  • Young Simba: Man, I'm stuffed.
    Pumbaa:
Me, too. I ate like a pig.
    Young Simba:
    Pumbaa, you *are*
    a pig.
  • Pumbaa: It's our motto.
    Young Simba:
    What's a motto?
    Timon:
Nothing. What's a motto with you?
  • Pumbaa: Slimy... yet satisfying.
  • Timon: Gee. He looks blue.
    Pumbaa:
    I'd say brownish-gold.
    Timon:
No no no no, I mean he's depressed.
    Pumbaa:
    Oh. »
Some thoughts
  • Timon: Look, kid. Bad things happen, and you can't do anything about it. Right?
    Young Simba:
    Right.
    Timon:
Wrong. When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on the world
  • Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
    Young Simba:
But dad, don't we eat the antelope?
    Mufasa:
Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life. »

Countryside

To my mind there is no use to describe how it was during these couple of days, when I was in the countryside, because I bet that everyone has been in there and is sure that this is the place where you are bound to have total relax (that mixes with work) and pleasantly calming tranquility in your heart.

Lately I have had a lot of stress and headaches about thousands of problems, but this little trip helped me out and I am feeling much better now. I am filled with new positive energy that I am going to use on my future decisions and plans.

And these are the pictures I took there, let them call - little games of shadows.
My models - Liene and Baiba Andersone, and little Līva

And this is me. Tranquility in my heart.

Je sais que tout ira bien! HAKUNA MATATA!

jump

Right now I am not into blogging, I am not really into anything. Something really important goes on in my life and I have to make some important decisions, some huge efforts and this is what concerns me. Hopefully after a few days I will be feeling better.

I found these two amazing pictures, that I can relate to myself and my life - it is a huuuge jump, actually, a jump to something unexplored and unknown. I am terribly freaked out by this all. :S But hopefully, hopefully everything will go well!

Shots made in Paris, I found them here

Love, Nath

Photograpfy

Photograph: a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art. ~Ambrose Bierce

Hey guys!

Recently I have been interested in photography, it is such an amazing thing to capture events, emotions, people in all kind of situations, when they laugh, when they cry, it is amazing how wonderfully a photo can show a beauty of the nature and the world overall. Photography has always been an art, but not for me, just a couple years ago I used my camera just for posing with friends and making fun pictures to laugh about. BUT I have really changed my mind. And I have actually understood what the photography is about - I mean ~not to look good in the photo but to make a good photo~

And this time I would like to present you the work of a french photograph (amateur), who is a good friend of mine. He is really passionate in photography, he would run away from the most important event to take a picture of something beautiful he sees outside, he always has his camera in his bag, and I am really proud about the work he does. And as you see, this is a little advert for him, just for y`all to see his pictures. If you are interested in more, you shall go to his website [blog] and check out the other photos, which are absolutely GARGEOUS.

Here are some of my favorites

Let me know what you think (:
